Dr J Michael Lane is Emeritus Professor of Preventive Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. His research interests are smallpox, adverse events after smallpox vaccination, and smallpox vaccination policy. He was formerly Director of Smallpox Eradication at US CDC.
