This workshop was open to all UNSW students and staff interested in learning about phylogeny and phylogeography. Research students were invited to present on their projects and receive feedback from visiting academic A/Professor Matthew Scotch from Arizona State University. Matthew’s team are the developers of ZooPhy, an online tool which can construct phylogeography models. ZooPhy is designed to be used by researchers and students in public health, who do not have a bioinformatics background.
